From Big Brands to Big Dreams
Before starting Tiana’s Closet, I spent over a decade working as a professional pattern maker in Vietnam. You know those clothing labels that say “Made in Vietnam” from brands like Zara, H&M, Mango, or Massimo Dutti? I was part of the team behind those garments—turning designers’ visions from Europe and North America into production-ready patterns. My job was precise, technical, and deeply creative.
In 2018, I made a big move—immigrating to Canada and starting a new chapter. But I couldn’t leave behind my passion. Instead of making patterns for someone else’s designs, I wanted to create my own. So I opened a small studio in Vancouver and began offering custom-made clothing. And in the quiet moments in between client projects, I rediscovered my favorite part of the job: designing, experimenting, and watching flat sketches come to life in 3D form.

I work with Optitex and Clo3D, professional pattern-making softwares that simulates garments on 3D models. Plus, I use updated body measurement data that’s widely adopted by global fashion companies, so you can count on accurate, well-fitting patterns every time.
