The pattern is made using layered PDF, please check for your desired size\nbefore printing so you won\u2019t waste your paper. I have included a first page\nwith many details about sizing and printing, so please first read the first\npage and make sure you know what size you need! If you still do not know how to\nprint a layered PDF, please check for the instruction here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can print this using your home printer and A4\/Letter paper. I\ncalculated the printing area so that you will be able to use either type of\npaper to print the pattern out perfectly. Always print the first page first and\ncheck with the test square if you are printing at the right scale before you\nprint out the whole pattern \u2013 avoid waste of ink and waste of paper, save the\nearth!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some PC may print smaller than actual size even when you choose 100%\nscale \u2013 I don\u2019t know why this problem exist, but my HP laptop cannot print true\nto size. I have to scale up to 103% to get the right size. You may need to\ncheck with your PC to see if it prints true to size, if not, scale up a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cutting\ninstruction:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After taping down all the pages following the instruction, the overall\nlayout of the pattern pieces is like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The pattern pieces are to be cut as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n A. Front \u2013 cut 1 on fold<\/p>\n\n\n\n B. Back \u2013 cut 1 on fold<\/p>\n\n\n\n C. Front Ruffle \u2013 cut 1 on fold<\/p>\n\n\n\n D. Back Ruffle \u2013 cut 1 on fold<\/p>\n\n\n\n E. Neckline Binding \u2013 cut 1 on bias<\/p>\n\n\n\n F. Armhole Binding \u2013 cut 2 on bias<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n Sewing instruction:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Although many experienced sewers do not need a sewing instruction, I\nfind that many newbies do, not because they do not know how to sew a straight\nline or insert a zipper, but because they do not know which step comes first,\nso I just add here simple guidance of the sewing steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Prepare your fabric. For some types of fabric that shrink, first\nwash and iron your fabric to make sure it will not come out smaller than your\nsize after one wash!<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Cut out all the pieces according to cutting instruction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. Pin and sew the bust darts of the Front piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. Serge all the pieces (if needed). You can always serge later after\nsewing the seams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5. Gather the Front Ruffle piece so that it matches the Front piece. Pin\nthe Front piece and the gathered Front Ruffle piece right side facing, pin and\nsew the joined front piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6. Gather the Back Ruffle piece and sew it to the Back piece to get\nthe joined back piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 7. Place the joined Front and Back pieces right side facing. Pin and\nsew the shoulder seam and side seam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 8. Attach bias tape to neckline and armholes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 9. Hem the blouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n And there it is, a beautiful Sandra asymmetrical hem blouse! It is a\nreally quick and easy project and can give you room for creativeness.
